We are an equine community that displays all types and styles of artwork from all different types of people. We are always looking for new members and would love to have you join us! All that we ask is that you show respect and courtesy to staff and members and abide by the rules. We don't have many but the ones we do have are only to keep the club running as smoothly as possible. So take a look around and enjoy your stay!

12/7/07 : =WrenStormbringer is having a huge equine art contest! The theme is "Equine Dreams" (think fantasy!) and there are three categories: digital art (including manips and 3d), traditional art, and literature. There are TONS of prizes to be had! The contest starts Dec 13 and ends Feb 14. Read the full details here.

06/26/07 : one of our members, =TheYawningHorse is having a photography showdown contest. There is one round left of voting and we would like to ask all of you to go and vote for the deviation you find most worthy of winning. His journal [link] provides and explanation and also will give details about the upcoming showdown which we would love for all of you to participate in! Hurry and vote though, the polling closes SOON!

06/19/97 : new affiliate - ~Silver-Horse-Club

06/18/07 : We are going to start another contest at the end of the week. But we need your suggestions for a topic! Please send us a note with what you would like the topic to be and if you have any other suggestions about it. The winner will receive the featured artwork spot on our main page. Please keep in mind this is open to all mediums of art so do not select a topic that excludes anyone. Also, we've been updating the member list. Please take a look and make sure that you are on there. If you have any questions shoot us a note!

05/23/07 : sorry all about the long leave of absence! We are working on getting everything back on track and ready for this summer. We've got a new co-admin so please all welcome, =meihua! I know she will do a great job. (: We are still adding new member and submissions so please be patient we have over 100 notes to get through! Also the old contest has been canceled and once we get caught up, we'll go ahead and add a new one.

08/05/06 : We've just found a HORSE THREAD in the dA forum! Let's make this the best thread dA has seen, please participate and post some of your artwork!

08/02/06 : New Contest has been created. The theme is photomanipulation. Go learn all about it HERE. Hurry, all entries due 08/21/06!!

07/27/06 : We are currently remaking the entire journal to make the club more navigable and user-friendly. We hope that it will not only be easier to use and stay informed, but also look more professional.

Adding our icon to your journal is really quite simple.
All that you need to do is put :iconthe-saddle-club: into your journal.

If you would like to submit your artwork to the club please follow these rules and guidelines:

Due to the high volume of submissions we receive from our members, we can only accept two submissions a week. If you exceed this limit, NONE of your submissions will be added.

We accept all styles and types of artwork, but they must be of horses/equines. We do make some exceptions with horse related equipment and locations, but keep in mind that an admin will review your work and determine if it is appropriate for the club gallery or not.

Please only submit work that you have done yourself. Don't submit deviant ID's or photographs that other people have taken of you riding your horse. We know you want to share, but this club is to show off your art, not your riding skills.

Think your deviations meet these requirements? Then follow these short steps to submit:

Send us a note titled "submit" or something similar

provide links to your deviations in the note

If you would like to join the club please follow these steps:

Add ~The-Saddle-Club to your watch list. We need to you to receive journals to stay informed, and we want you to view the deviations of other members.

Send us a note with "Join" or something along those lines letting us know that you would like the be a member.

We would greatly appreciate if you could add our icon to your journal, but it is not required.
